She's got me In Stitches!

I just received my new book from Amy Butler, In Stitches. I swear, there are days I just want to hug the UPS man! I love this book! Not only does it have great home styling ideas and lovely, inspiring photographs, the patterns make me want to sew up a storm. It's a hardbound book with wire-o binding, 10 pattern sheets tucked inside a nice pocket flap, 30 color project photographs, and easy how-to illustrations and straightforward text throughout. Even I think I can pull one of these fabulous projects off.

Amy Butler's In Stitches is available online at Chronicle Books and I'm sure Amazon and most craft/sewing stores in your neighborhood are carrying it, too. The book includes fairly simple patterns for home projects and personal style projects, including new handbag and apron designs. Aprons may scream domestic servant, but contrary to popular belief, I think they're sexy! Especially when accessorized correctly. Right?

I also love these cozy looking floor cushions and think they are first on my project list. All I have to do now is choose from one of her cool fabrics, which won't be as easy as using these patterns...
