I just read on Apartment Therapy SF and Design*Sponge that a group of artists have launched a site for the Kim Family Benefit Art & Craft Auction. I wanted to join in and spread the word here, too. The Auction was the idea of the very thoughtful and genius Lisa Congdon, Stephanie Barnes, and Gerrie Congdon. Works from over 40 artists will be on auction, including beautiful, handcrafted jewelry, ceramics, home accessories, paintings & prints, stationary and toys. All of the proceeds will benefit the Kim family directly.

The Auction begins January 3 and ends January 7. There is a wonderful group on local artists contributing, including Diana Fayt, Camilla Engman, Lena Corwin and Jill Bliss. A pretty impressive list of warm hearted artists. You can see the entire list of talented artists here.

From everything I've read and heard, James Kim was such an amazing father, husband and important, vital part of his community. I can't think of a nicer way to honor him. You can also support the Kim family by shopping at the family's two bay area shops, Doe and the Church Street Apothecary.
