May I Take Your Coat?

Erich Ginder Studio designs very beautiful things. I cannot afford many of these beautiful things, however, it would be shame to not have seen them. A shame not to share. Before focusing on a career in design, Erich studied at Chicago's School of the Art Institute and, apparently, "played music in the park with friends while wearing robot costumes constructed of food packaging and taxidermy." The heavy taxidermy influence can be spotted in his work.

Now based out of Seattle, Erich Ginder Studio creates beautiful, yet utilitarian housewares that attempt to blur the line between art and design. His work has been featured most recently in such magazines as Blueprint, Domino, I.D., and Wallpaper, among many others.
