In honor and respect for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I give you pink. It was actually the suggestion of Mrs. Blandings, and a very thoughtful one, so I'm in. Far too many of us have someone close to us who has suffered with this disease, and I am so fortunate to also know someone very dear to me who has survived. She is the co-founder of Prepare to Live and I am proud to say, one of my best friends. If you know anyone diagnosed with cancer, tell them to go to Prepare to Live for amazing support and invaluable resources. Bring on the power and hope of pink.

Everyone loves real mail - make a friend smile with these cute
Bird Cage Cards from Rock Scissors Paper. Urban Outfitter's cuckoo
crazy pink clock reminds you that time is precious. Do what you love.

May Lee Foster's sweet wall art will brighten any room in need of cheer. Pretty Pink
Conch Shells hold a magical, soothing sound of the ocean, from Beach House Style.

A reminder to walk proud from this Peacock Pillow via Anthropologie, made
by San Francisco illustrator Lorena Siminovich. Indulge yourself, eating cupcakes
with thick, creamy frosting on these pink coral Thomas Paul Dessert Plates.

Water is so comforting. I love this Bathing Beauties Print from Betsy Walton.
I swooped one up and it's a favorite of mine that never fails to make me feel calm.

Go ahead and splurge on that fun pink handbag and hide a trashy novel
in it to read when no ones looking. Guilty pleasures can be the best.

Get yourself an Ugly Doll and even on your worst days, she's sure to make you feel pretty.
Wallpaper yourself a pink bathroom and take nice long baths, for as long as you like.

Wrap yourself in luxurious, soft, pink bedding and fill your home with flowers.
Never underestimate the power and strength of beauty. Just be good to yourself.

This post made me smile :). I think I'm going to incorporate some pink into my next piece.

On another "Pink" note, check out Casapinka/ Pink Mohair's blogs for an update by Kim at Desire to Inspire as to why Pink has not been blogging lately. Pink should be back in action by mid-December. Can't wait!

What a great way to start the month, such a beautiful collection of pink.

The "Bathing Beauties" are a favorite in my studio too and keep me happy while I work.

LOL! I picked Valley of the Dolls for a Book Group (a very literary Book Group mind you) one month and we had a blast. I rented the movie to show at dinner and we ate Good and Plenty and drank alot. Good times.

OK, no one, at least no one I saw, had the Valley of the Dolls book cover. That will now live forever in my pink hall of fame. Thanks. Patricia
