A Building. A Basket. A Bucket.

Lotta Jansdotter's Kantra Fabric Bucket is a brilliant idea, and quite cute, too. Lotta's Kantra design was commissioned by the De Young in San Francisco for their museum shop and is inspired by the museum's amazing copper facade from the architects Herzog and de Meuron. Like majority of Lotta's designs the Kantra is a limited edition.

There's a bit of stiffening added to the lining so it sits well on its own. And, Lotta keeps coming up with ingenious things to use it for - bread, potted plants, yarn and threads...the list goes on.

I love this! Too bad she is sold out of them. Hopefully she'll have more soon?

I must try making those baskets at home, absence-of-sewing-machine be damned!
