Fashion Friday: Al's Attire.

Al's Attire is a somewhat secret San Francisco institution. Tucked away on Grant, a tiny back alley of a street in North Beach, Al's a tailor to the un-trendy, but well-heeled fashionistas by the bay. Looking for a classic, vintage coat? Al's your guy. And if you're looking for a special suit custom made, or if you are simply needing to revamp, redux your wardrobe this is the place to come. Al will put the funk back in your fuddy-duds with excellent craftsmanship and attention to the tiniest of details. It's such a great shop, even if you just need some stylish inspiration. Go see the attire that is Al's.

Oh! The electric blue mac in the window - swoooon!

I'm hoping to take a jaunt to SF this year, so any boutiques you care to recommend, I'd be grateful to know about!

I love Al's! I have been lusting after a custom made coat by him for years! I sent a friend of mine there when he was looking for that perfect gift for his wife on their anniversary.

I love Grant Ave...so many hidden gems. Have you ever visited the little bead shop that's been around for decades? I can't get enough of that cute man and his beanie :) It was as favorite stop when we lived in the city.

OH MY GOSH! I absolutely LOVE Al's Attire!!!

My friend had recently purchased a button-up shirt from Al, and it looked so smart and perfect on him.

When the cold weather comes back, I'll definitely have a custom coat done there. I tried one of their coats hanging on the rack and it was perfect! I'd rather spend my money there than a name brand piece.

I also how love that he makes hats and shoes :) What a super talented guy.

Al's is the best. He made my husband's wedding suit and even called me to ask about my vintage wedding dress to make sure we matched. What a great guy and what a great store!

I've probably walked by this place on my many visits to SF. Next time I'll have to stop in for sure.

I love those hats. Do you know of any place like it out here in the DC/Baltimore area?
