A Passion for Polaroid.

I'm not sure how soon the end really is, but I for one, and I'm sure so many of you, will be madly missing the Polaroid. NPR has even done a couple of stories about the demise of the legend that was once Polaroid, and one of the artists interviewed, in her thick, distinctly New York accent, described the Polaroid like "creamy butta". A Polaroid print is like none other. A great party toy for grown-ups, they brought out the goofy best in all of us, and the random mundane became works of great art. In tribute to the beauty of instant gratification that will soon be lost, here's a glimpse of some of my Polaroid flickr favs.

Beautiful. There's nothing like a Polaroid, and I've been slowly stocking up ever since the announcement. For anyone interested in making a little statement/protest, my dear friend has started a site: www.savethepolaroid.com. Power to the people!

I can't believe the Polaroid era is ending, it just can't though. Polaroid was my first camera, and still now its so special to me. That instant captured moment in your hand is just unbeatable, especially since all of my photos are stored in folders in my pc or in Flickr...Ahh why all nice things have to end :(
