Prepare to Live.

One of my very best friends, Eszter Rabin (you might know her from Emma Rose Papery) is a very brave woman, and is a survivor of stage III breast cancer. Eszter participated in a unique clinical trial in an effort to help find new ways to treat cancer and is now cancer free and lives one of the fullest lives of just about anyone I know. Nothing stops this girl, and she has been a constant support to me through my little trials and tribulations in life. But she also helps those in much more need than me. Eszter co-founded Prepare to Live with another cancer survivor, Eran Thomson.

Prepare to Live is the only non-profit, charitable organization founded and managed by cancer survivors, dedicated to using the power of the web and documentary-style film making to provide Help, Hope, Information and Inspiration™ specifically to young adults coping with cancer worldwide. Young adults with cancer often encounter a unique set of issues and challenges, and generally feel isolated and alone, or "too young" to have cancer. Prepare to Live is currently working a "Buddy Search" tool, which helps young adults with cancer find others for support and who share similar interests, hobbies, activities, etc. More information can be found here.

In order to finish this important tool they need to raise additional funding - even the smallest amounts can go a long way. If you would like to donate you can do so online by visiting the site here -- it's simple (you can use your Paypal account) and will go a long way in helping young adults with cancer. Thanks for taking a moment to consider this.

thank you for posting this video + entry today.

a close friend of mine was diagnosed with breast cancer last year -- she was in her early 30s. she had chemo and surgery and seems to have conquered it.

i am really excited and inspired by this project eszter and eran have started.

i am supporting them and urging everyone i can to give to their organization.

i second everything victoria has to say about eszter. she is one in a million! if she had not beat cancer i would of never had the chance to meet her and i feel so blessed to have her in my life. the work she is doing with prepare to live reinforces the fact that she has touched so many people and has made such a life affirming example by turning something that can seem as insurmountable such as cancer into something positive. please take the time to support prepare to live. go eszter!
