Urban Trompe L'Oeil.

Urban Outfitters is forging new ground. Literally. With these crazy, funky Trompe L'Oeil floor coverings. You just gotta see 'em. I was pretty surprised at how of couple of them could really work. Not all, mind you, but at few.

Urban Outfitters has these new, very faux floor mats; photo realistic reproductions of wood or stone, printed on a tough micro-woven poly backed with plush foam rubber, and I really like a couple of them. I really dig the white, chipped, shabby chic looking version. I've wanted to paint my hardwood floors stark white for sometime now, but fear the wrath of my landlords. Perhaps this white vinyl covering could work in a small space, tiled together. I can see them looking pretty cute in a kitchen, and look quite easy to clean.

I'm totally into these! The first one would be stunning on a whitewashed floor.

We just saw some similar to these at market and love them! My favorite was the "old boards" looking ones they had. I love the vinyl part too, great for kitchen, front/back door, anywhere really!
