James Carrière Photography.

As I posted last week, my apartment was shot for a new home decor magazine, and it was shot quite beautifully by San Francisco-based photographer James Carrière. James is a lighting guru, and it was fun to learn a little bit by observing him work. I thought I'd take a look at his website to see what else James Carrière has shot, and found a bevy of beauties to share with y'all. James starting shooting at the age of nine, with an all-plastic Diana camera he got as a giveaway when his mum bought him some new shoes. James no longer has his old Diana, but his passion for photography is still with him at all times.

Oh wow. Every object in his shots looks like its infused with light form the inside. How fantastic to have your home photographed! Can you say which magazine it was for?

Beautiful! I love the white light (mine always looks yellow) and the pinks and blues in most of his photos. Perfection!

I always read that lighting makes all the difference. I never know how really but his photographs are very bright and of cos, beautiful.

I love hearing all this from you, and agree wholeheartedly. I am James' new agent for the Midwest and Texas and have gotten a great response from his book.
