Just Because It's Awesome.

I saw this sofa featured on etsy today, and I just had to share all it's fabulousness. It's just so retro and so turquoise, it makes me want to have it just to throw a cocktail party! Available at Johnny Vintage on etsy! Free Shipping, too. Wow.

omg, love the sofa. But even more exciting are the wooden slats behind it. My house (1975, Montreal Canada) has the exact same angled slats in the upstairs hallway overlooking the stairwell. They are painted white, but I've often wondered what they'd look like stripped. I think I like the white better.
Thanks sfgirlbybay.

This is fabulous! It's rare to see anything you would immediately tag as SWANK but this is SWANK. I'll bet its sold already. My collection of vintage silver cocktail shakers would look so good nearby... sigh.

I LOVE IT!! We recently started watching Mad Men on Netflix and Don and Betty have a gorgeous headboard that is this color. I love the furniture and how the style has made a comeback so many years later.

I featured this in a treasury that made it to the front page, so I'm really hoping I'm responsible! I lust after basically everything this color, and am such a midcentury fiend. yay!

Alcia- that's so great!

Thank you Caitlin - you can live here, too! :)

Tickled - good call!

I'm glad you all thought it as happy and cool as I did!

Love the painting above it too!

That aqua sofa looks so great now because it probably had a clear plastic sofa cover on it most of its life (which also protected it from all the cigarette smoke).

I found this same couch on the front page, and immediately "hearted" it. It's beyond gorgeous!

What a wonderful color! And the shape is great too.

I am so sorry for I really do not like it at all! It's so huge and I think I'd get tired of that color really quickly. But when I imagine it as a simple two seater -- it would be darling.

Did you see the price V? Whoa. $5,500.00...
