Oh! It's Orla Kiely For Target!

I received some exciting news this week that one of my favorite Irish designers, Orla Kiely, has created a new, affordable designer home ware line for Target which will launch this February. I love the colors, patterns, and graphic design of Orla Kiely's work. She is regarded for her unique and immediately recognizable designs, which evolved through graphic patterns that celebrate her optimistic and upbeat spirit.

As down-to-earth as her designs are popular, Orla says the key to what drives her fixation on the evolution of a signature style, “My designs are based on quality and practicality,” said Orla Kiely. “Through my partnership with Target, I am able to share this vision with a much broader audience, providing them with great design at a great price.” The new Orla Kiely Target collection will include tumblers, mugs, serving trays, dinner plates, storage crates and totes, placemats, napkins, floor and seat cushoions, and some very adorable aprons! Look for it to launch this February at Target very soon!

  44. Living in Canada, my only exposure to target is Kristen Wiig with her SNL spoof.

"Scented Caaaayndles! I didn't know we had scented caaayndles."

Lovely patterns. The pears remind me of some of the motifs from Fresh Cut fabrics. Or Amy Butler. But, beautiful colors and lovely pattern combos. Modern, yet retro.

Target continues to keep the great stuff coming {no, I don't work there}.

  52. This is soooo exciting! :) I'll bet it's going to be a mad house. (Kind of like when Stella McCartney did a line for Target-Australia & it sold out almost immediately.)

    ReplyDelete
  53. gasp! i anticipate quite the mad rush on these puppies!

    ReplyDelete
  54. Can it be February now? Please.

    ReplyDelete
  55. OH MY GOD!!!!

This is going to sell out in five minutes, if not less. The good items in the John Derian line never seemed to be restocked in any of my three local Targets, and Orla Kiely is a designer better known in the US. Hopefully the collaboration will live up to the quality of her other goods and hopefully Target will produce more of the items than usual. More happy customers would mean more profit for Target!

  56. oh boy oh boy oh boy!!! i'm sooo excited. Orla Kiely's prints and patterns are my absolute favorite. Now they'll be affordable and at Target!! I simply can not wait!!! Thanks for sharing the news!!!

Yeah, Can't wait ot check this line out. Orla

  59. I hit the jackpot this past weekend! I now own the small and medium canisters (large was just too large for me), serving tray, potholder, dish towels, laundry bag, flower tumblers, and storage bins. It sounds like too much, but the patterns are all so varied that it won't look like my entire apartment has been Orla-ized!

And Anonymous, her last name is pronounced Ky-lee. I used to think it was Kee-lee, but it's not :)
