I received some exciting news this week that one of my favorite Irish designers,
Orla Kiely, has created a new, affordable designer home ware line for
Target which will launch this
February. I love the colors, patterns, and graphic design of
Orla Kiely's work. She is regarded for her unique and immediately recognizable designs, which evolved through graphic patterns that celebrate her optimistic and upbeat spirit.

As down-to-earth as her designs are popular,
Orla says the key to what drives her fixation on the evolution of a signature style, “My designs are based on quality and practicality,” said
Orla Kiely. “Through my partnership with
Target, I am able to share this vision with a much broader audience, providing them with great design at a great price.” The new
Orla Kiely Target collection will include tumblers, mugs, serving trays, dinner plates, storage crates and totes,
placemats, napkins, floor and seat
cushoions, and some very adorable aprons! Look for it to launch this February at
Target very soon!
I am not familiar with her, but I look forward to seeing her designs in person.

ReplyDeleteAnna - sorry I missed your question - yes I received a press kit and a disk with photos - tons. It's very cute stuff!!
ReplyDeleteAh...wonderful news!! Love her designs!
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know if it's pronounced KY-lee or KEE-ly?
ReplyDeleteI've seen it. I want it. It's so darn sweet. But my local Target was ALMOST SOLD OUT! Act quickly, my dears. Act quickly.
ReplyDeleteOooh, I love it! Can't wait until it's in the store.
ReplyDeletewoo hoo......i can't wait...
ReplyDeleteI think your mistaken MadgeMc, this line is not in stores until February 1st. Where are you located?
ReplyDeleteI am very excited about this, I have a few of her pieces purses and I am always being complimented on them.
thank you for this information! i love her designs.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful designs.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure I'm going to need that apron, the pear canisters and the candy tray! Must..go...today...Woo hoo!
ReplyDeleteLiving in Canada, my only exposure to target is Kristen Wiig with her SNL spoof.
ReplyDelete"Scented Caaaayndles! I didn't know we had scented caaayndles."
oh i hope she'll do bags, wallets, luggage, stationary... love her stuff, such a fan!
ReplyDeleteI die! I was anticipating this would happen after dwell collaborated with Target. can't wait to snag some of this.
ReplyDeleteoh wow, love these designs. can't wait to see them in person at target!
ReplyDeleteget out! I have a feeling there's going to be a frenzy at Target soon!
ReplyDeletethis is sooo exciting, I can't wait! :)
ReplyDeleteTrying to catch my breath! This is very exciting!
ReplyDeleteLovely patterns. The pears remind me of some of the motifs from Fresh Cut fabrics. Or Amy Butler. But, beautiful colors and lovely pattern combos. Modern, yet retro.
ReplyDeleteTarget continues to keep the great stuff coming {no, I don't work there}.
This is soooo exciting! :) I'll bet it's going to be a mad house. (Kind of like when Stella McCartney did a line for Target-Australia & it sold out almost immediately.)
ReplyDeletewwwweeeee!
ReplyDeletegasp! i anticipate quite the mad rush on these puppies!
ReplyDeleteCan it be February now? Please.
ReplyDeleteOH MY GOD!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is going to sell out in five minutes, if not less. The good items in the John Derian line never seemed to be restocked in any of my three local Targets, and Orla Kiely is a designer better known in the US. Hopefully the collaboration will live up to the quality of her other goods and hopefully Target will produce more of the items than usual. More happy customers would mean more profit for Target!
oh boy oh boy oh boy!!! i'm sooo excited. Orla Kiely's prints and patterns are my absolute favorite. Now they'll be affordable and at Target!! I simply can not wait!!! Thanks for sharing the news!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is the best news all day ! Thanks :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, Can't wait ot check this line out. Orla
ReplyDeleteI hit the jackpot this past weekend! I now own the small and medium canisters (large was just too large for me), serving tray, potholder, dish towels, laundry bag, flower tumblers, and storage bins. It sounds like too much, but the patterns are all so varied that it won't look like my entire apartment has been Orla-ized!
ReplyDeleteAnd Anonymous, her last name is pronounced Ky-lee. I used to think it was Kee-lee, but it's not :)
If you love orla Kiely designs you will also love the website bellow!
