Ode to My Deco: Bright Whites.

I know I am just one of the many readers mourning the life of Domino magazine. We're not left with many home decor magazine subscription options here in the United States, and I think we're all wishing Domino would at the very least, keep up the Domino website, the Daily Dose blog, and the My Deco Files. I have loved contributing to My Deco Files, and discovering tons of new decor inspiration there.

So, I thought I'd round up a 'Best of Deco Files' to share with you all in a series, beginning with this one - decorating with bright whites, and bright splashes of color - one of my personal favorite ways to decorate at the moment. Maybe, if we beg and plead, they will keep Domino alive online! You can read more about Domino on Katie Mulinix's new blog, We Love Domino.

It is so sad.... while I love design blogs there will be something that I really miss about having a magazine in hand. Reading and rereading it.

Your selections here are breathtaking. I especially love that kitchen with the white screens.

I'm really glad I saved every issue printed for the last 2.5 years.

I'm really going to miss this magazine. It was Domino, or rather the gorgeous rooms that featured beautiful eclectic artwork, that inspired me to start my own etsy venture.

Well, actually Victoria, it was you too.

I agree! Who do I have to talk to to at least get Domino online? GoOnlineDomino.com? We could start a petition?

It`s just sad, but I love your idea. I thought about doing the same, but I would rather view your posts ;-)

What is everyone doing with all of their deco photos? Saving them to your desktop? Flickr? Any words of wisdom for saving those fabulous ideas we've all banked?

white walls, clean & simplistic like that of an art gallery.. hang all your favorite pieces!

YES! They seriously need to keep the online version.

Consider me begging.

Maybe if that tiny part stays alive, then after this dumb economy recovers they could revive the magazine as well.

There just isn't anything like Domino, is there? It will be much missed by all, and it's been great to read all the memorials around blog land too. Writing my own thoughts helped me to expunge some of the pain (http://tinyurl.com/d2yzt5), but I'm still sulking! It would be great if they kept the web presence alive!

I love my deco file too. It's so handy, and I love that it saves the source location where you found the image. I didn't even read Domino and I'm sad :(
