Um. I don't mean to cause a panic, but has anyone else noticed the
strawberries that are suddenly and overwhelmingly absolutely everywhere? Stacked outside stores, smeared over toddlers faces, proffered on street corners. I'm not really mentally prepared for this much spring all at once. It's still cold outside!

Refreshing berries are hardly called for in this weather! Of course for now, just eating them, gorging on them, stuffing them one by one into your mouth will probably keep strawberry lovers amused, but if you're looking for a bit of cozy this weekend try these
Strawberry Ricotta Muffins. "Strawberries in baked goods," you ask, "but don't they make the muffins soggy?" Well, the would, if the recipe didn't call for you to roast them first. Ooh la la,
these muffins are sweet (but not too sweet), tender, warm, and perfect for a cold spring morning.
