Inspiring India Rose.

I've recently discovered San Francisco-based online shop, beautiful India Rose. You'll probably recognize India Rose bedding and bath accessories, because they've been designing for a pretty amazing list of clients, like Anthropologie and Crate & Barrel for years, but India Rose also has a lovely line of candles & candlesticks, clutches, totes, aprons and other home accessories.



Designer Carter Bolick of India Rose found her biggest influence was her father, who was a landscape architect and San Francisco city planner but spent a lot of his time drawing, painting and constantly doodling. She spent her childhood looking at and considering every design detail of each environment they found themselves in. That attention to detail is beautifully apparent in her current India Rose designs.

Named for her first daughter, the company was started in 2003 as India Rose, LLC, and they now work in a tall house perched on a mountain just south of San Francisco amidst the sun, gigantic trees, and all the children of India Rose whose mothers make up their company.
