Inspiration Row
Back in September I ran a post about this super cool Steel Cable System from West Elm. Well, mine has arrived and last weekend I hung it above my new work station. These cables were intended to be used for hanging window or shower curtains, but I thought it would be a really great way to display my daily (and ever-changing) inspiration. I've hung postcards, magazine clippings and photographs and am quite happy with the clean-lined look. Check West Elm for ordering details.
NOTE: Thanks to Nikko's comments below, who found an even less expensive verision at Ikea called the DEKA for just $4.99 (I'd link to it, but Ikea links can be tricky).

IKEA has the exact hanging system for less than 5 bucks.
Thanks for the tip, Nikko! do you have a link or the name of the Ikea hanging system? I could only find the DIGNITET and it was $12.99 without the clips. Do tell...thanks!
Oh man - I love this idea!
Back in September, Dawn Marie shared an additional source for these types of hanging systems:
Along the same concept but for small spaces I love this magnetic rope. The link is

It is a great way to create a neat display or keep yourself organized.
Thanks Dawn Marie!
I like your workspace :-)
Great idea. You should have entered the workspace contest over at decor 8. awesome. k
Love this, what a great way to dry all the watercolor paintings that tend to happen occasionally around here! :)
OH! Sorry for the late response but here is the link:

I don't think the link fit.
This is the IKEA product that I had mentioned in the first comment:
DEKA
Curtain wire including clips.
$4.99
Thanks so much Nikko! I've updated the post. I tried to link to DEKA as well, but Ikea's link always seem to give me trouble.
Oh my, the inspiration wire is just fantastic and so affordable too. I must get myself one!
I was looking at that in West Elm for my living room curtain. Is it adjustable? It says it's 120 inches, but I presume you could cut the wire to fit a 90 inch window frame, yes?
T
TRS - yes it can be trimmed to any length you like. be forewarned it's really strong cable! I needed some tough wire cutters to do the job.
it's is just beautiful with all those photos and notes! I really like this idea, I just don't have a free wall! :-)
