Six Degrees.

Via Design*Sponge I found Grace's post on Ahi-Yi, an amazing design blog (and etsy artist). Which lead me to Ahi-Yi's post about this fantastic art installation she found on Dezeen, where I then read more about the Hotel Ballymun project. A condemned tower block in Ballymun, Ireland temporarily turned into a hotel as part of a cultural project headed by artist Seamus Nolan. So much inspiration sometimes makes my head spin. I give a ton of thanks to our tangled little web of online culture and design.

Wow, this is unbelievable. While a student in Dublin, some of us did our GP attachment at Ballymun. Most of the elevators were broken and the police wouldn't even answer calls to most places within the complex - it was that scary. It's hard to imagine anyone staying in it as a hotel...no, impossible to imagine! A truly exciting concept if it can turn around such a desperate area of Dublin.

Wow! Hotel Ballymun was one of the first things I blogged about on Homebug.. http://www.homebug.net/search?q=ballymun

I went to a music gig a few months ago in the Clarke Tower while it was open to the public as "Hotel Ballymun". It was a cool project and it's a pity there isn't often such inventiveness within the arts in Ireland.
