Unexpected Guests: Emma Rose Downtown.
Since y'all seemed to like getting a behind the scenes tour of illustrator Leigh Wells' studio a couple of posts ago, I thought I'd share with you a visit I paid to Emma Rose Papery's new downtown studio. Located in Union Square (yikes, across the street from the new Barney's!), Eszter Rabin has created the most beautiful space to come and chat, see samples of her letterpress work and talk about your custom stationery needs. It's so bright, clean and crisp and with such amazing style, I literally 'oooohed' when I walked in the door. It's that lovely, as you will see from this photos. I couldn't stop snapping away, so there's quite a few to look at!
A peek at some of Eszter's letterpress paper goods.
Eszter's been also getting a ton of press, including some Bridal publications,
SF's 7x7, and a 'mook' for the French magazine, Figaro in Japan.

Eszter has added just the right touch of artwork and unique accessories to personalize
the studio. It's such a light and airy space to be in. I think you'd love it.
You can email her for more details about wedding, bridal, baby or any
custom invites you may need. Or you can make an appointment to see her
portfolio of work (and it's an excellent excuse to see this great space).

Gorgeous, clean white walls. I'm so glad there are others out there besides me that arent painting everything in sight taupe!
so lovely! I love how she's combined everything in such an artistic yet unified way. so inspiring!
love the space, makes me want to buy invitations for something...
what beautiful space! what, are those naguchi chairs i see? i have space envy for sure. her work is so simple and perfect.
Love the fruit holder thingy she has! Never seen one of those before.
OMG - my mom had that exact same napkin holder (the acrylic, flower one). I hated it back then, but it looks nice here holding envelopes and stationary.
love everything about the space. beautiful.
Gorgeous space. Love all the white. Very clean looking. Did you also do those incredibly gorgeous paintings.
peggy - i believe the two paintings are from The Beholder.
candy - that napkin holder looks so cute in person, and it's the kind of thing you wouldn't look twice at, but eszter has a great eye.
megan - i know she found the chairs of craigslist.com, but i'm not sure who made them.
love, love, love eszter!!!! (and her new studio is gorgeous!) yay eszter!!
What a beautiful space. Eszter's home tour on Apartment Therapy had really left me hungry for more. And her studio definitely doesn't disappoint.
Plus, her pairing of the Ikea Docksta reminds me of my own dining table setup. You really can't go wrong with the combination of space age vintage and danish vintage.
Ohhow nice! I love it, plus, how cool are those chairs, they look great with that table.
do you know if that is Ikea's Docksta or a Saarinen repro?
jenny - thanks for sharing your set-up - it looks great and is very similar.
angelune - this is the Ikea Docksta knock-off of the Saarinen! Looks pretty good, eh?
