Team Fox.
I don't normally do this, and no one asked me to, but it seems like it's okay sometimes to use the blog for the greater good. My friend Susie Rosenthal is running the New York City Marathon on November 4th. It's Susie's 5th year running in honor and memory of her dad, Robert, to raise money for Team Fox, The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
My dad, too, has Parkinson's Disease and is doing pretty well, but should be doing a lot better. I thank you for considering a contribution to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research - even if it's $1. If everyone who visits sfgirlbybay gave a dollar - Susie's team would rock! Your contribution directly supports much needed Parkinson’s research and helps ensure it's thoroughly funded and explored. You can contribute to Susie's Team Fox at this link. Go Susie!! xoxo

I think this is wonderful! My father, who lives in Sonoma, was diagnosed with Parkinson's a couple of years ago and I'm originally from New York so I'm in!
Every single person can make a difference. Many congrats and kudos to your friend Susie for undertaking this great challenge!
