Vintage Finds for a Modern World: Wonderful Copenhagen.

I stumbled upon this fab linen wall hanging Wonderful Copenhagen on deadbirdfinds' etsy shop today. It's an amazing vintage wall hanging of the great poster art "Wonderful Copenhagen" originally created in 1951 by Viggo Vagnby. Somebody just has to have this! It's fantastic. It is wonderful! Swoop, I say...swoop!

Well, crappity, crap, crap! Money is the last thing I should be trying to part with but I'm sure Citibank would appreciate my enthusiasm. Congrats to Cheryl! (Though I'm crying a lil' bit on the inside.) It's gonna look "wonderful" in your home!

I really, really love that style. It reminds me a lot of Illustrator Miroslav Sasek's style... as in "This is San Francisco"and his other books (London, Dallas, New York, etc)

Nice SwoOoOp!

The official tourist website used to be called Wonderful Copenhagen, which I visited often before traveling to Denmark a few years back. Glad to see that in some ways, much is the same as it was in the 50's. It's still a truly wonderful city (you can read about it also in Dwell this month). Thanks for sharing your find and bringing back fond memories.

shawn - you're right - very similar!

natasha - i opened up dwell and say that article today, too. i had no idea Disneyland was inspired by the amusement park there.
