San Francisco via Spain.

I recently met Hilary, an expat living in Europe. Hilary recently made a trip to Spain, where she imported these lovely, pastel glazed pottery pieces to San Francisco. The pieces are all hand-thrown by a father and son in a small village near Cordova, Spain. The family has been making pottery for centuries, and they are one of the few ceramic-producing families left in Spain who still hand-gather their clay from nearby riverbanks.

Because the clay is not industrially processed, and because every item is completely hand made, each final piece has its own very unique texture, shape, and character. All work is done in and around the family courtyard (hence the occasional paw print or pigeon feather found embedded in the clay), with three generations working together from the initial clay-gathering to the final glazing.

Hilary is seeking any interested wholesale buyers who might be interested in carrying the beautiful and unique line of pottery. They would be perfect little flower vases for cafe tables, florist shops (I can see them being great for wedding and baby showers), or kitchen accessory and gift shops. If you have a shop, or know of someone who might be interested in representing this pretty Spring line, drop Hilary an email.
