In The Library: Bazaar Style.

I finally picked up my very own copy of Bazaar Style, a great design book by Selina Lake and Joanna Simmons, with the most inspiring photographs from Debi Trelor. I've been coveting this great book for a while now, and it doesn't disappoint. Bazaar Style is filled with gorgeous imagery of homes decorated with very individual style, combining retro and flea market finds in a charming and eclectic fashion. Holly at decor8 has a great interview she did back in January with stylist Selina Lake that you can read here, too!

The pages of Bazaar Style are filled with colorful, ethnic textiles and patterns which look like they were gathered from French marché au puces, or maybe a Moroccan flea market. Incidentally...I want that job! This book is certainly fueling my recent passion for a trip to the street markets of Mumbai, or Marrakesh...and, I think you'll find that too. Bazaar Style is a kind of armchair travel fantasy that will inspire you to liven things up around the old homestead, and bring in some international flair and cosmopolitan color. Here's a sneak peek.

I agree, I think a vacation to some exotic location is in order Victoria.

I will be in Marrakesh mid November for a week, I've not been to Africa before so I think it will be a nice change of scenery for me. Okay who am I kidding, I'm jumping over the moon excited because I haven't had much exposure to life outside of America and Europe. And there is so much more!

After Marrakesh, I would like to see Istanbul, Australia, and Tokyo.

What are your top 4 travel spots - where would you like to go?

I actually really like this style but I don't think it would work for me...plus our house is way to small to make it work!
