Bits and Baubles.

What to do with all those bits and baubles, our precious jewels!? I originally saw this image in Blueprint Magazine, and I quite like the idea of keeping a drawer full of pretty, vintage teacups with jewelry pieces stored individually in the shallows of the shiny china.

I have my bracelets, earrings and necklaces floating around in this ceramic dish on my bathroom dresser. It's kind of messy, but I actually kind of like the look of all the sparkling gems shining up at me and reminding me of a piece that might just be perfect to pull together an ensemble. Otherwise, I tend to forget I have them!

Also from Blueprint Magazine, if you have the room the idea of large antique bust, or a dress form is a fun way to store your necklaces and keep them from getting tangled. Plus, it just looks great!

I also like the organized, yet attractive idea of these cute Jewelry Knobs from etsy shop Anton Gabler.

I just purchased a ceramic egg crate from Anthropologie to hold my rings and earrings.

I love this look but as a jewelry designer I am at odds with myself over it. I encourage my customers to keep stuff (particularly silver) in plastic to protect from tarnish and damage. I actually just bought an old swing arm vanity from Craigslist that I am excited to revamp (particularly after seeing the vanity project in this month's ReadyMade!).

Cheers!

i love seeing jewelry out in the open like that. and i agree that when it is out on display it reminds you to wear it! i used an ikea grundtal bar to store my jewelry in a pretty way. here is a picture:

All that glitters- I like the messy look myself, because that is how I live!

lovably post!
I have an old china(originally to put butter) at my side table to put the few things I change from time to time, I tend to wear the same every day. i think jewelery knobs are great, no messy necklaces.

lots of tea cups! that's a perfect idea for jewellery storage. i used to have mine in a little cake stand but necklaces would get all entangled although it looked very pretty.

those knobs would be a great addition to my get-ready-set-go accessories place. loving that round wooden necklace also.

I like the idea of having my jewelry out but it's really terrible on any kind of silver. I used to keep my necklaces on a vintage towel rack that I hung in my bedroom, it was adorable. But after a month my necklaces all looked HORRIBLE! I switched back to a traditional jewelry box. The tea cup idea might be better, since it'll be in a drawer and not out in the open air.

I created a pin mannequin to showcase my large collection of pins, mostly those that I have worn, some from the Victorian era. I originally used it for my holiday decoration last year, but now it is in my studio.

I have a picture of it, but I don't know how to add this.
