Bohemian Rhapsody.

I'm in the mood for a little bohemian, modern chic today. Funky, ethnic mixes with lots of color and a bit of old world flair. Mix up bright velvet, paisley and striped fabrics, some antique kilm rugs along with some fun, modern pieces, and it gives the room a strong, eclectic personality.

Excellent and inexpensive resources for achieving this look can be found at Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, Cost Plus World Market, West Elm, Om Home, and of course flea markets. It also helps if you can splurge here and there, perhaps on some throw pillows from a talented textile designer like John Robshaw, or amazing home furnishings from ABC Carpet & Home, or Casamidy.

The cool thing about this bohemian look, is that by mixing and matching, you don't have to spend a lot of money, and it doesn't matter if you juxtapose old and new belongings - it all just blends in a kaleidoscope of brilliant shapes, finishes, colors and patterns.

This look also blends well with bringing the inside, outside to your garden or deck, and gives it a warm, cozy, I'm gonna nap all day kind of look! I love the idea of lots of throws and colorful pillows tossed casually on a chaise, or if you're super lucky and have the space -- a hammock!

My actual house is very right, very beautiful but I am leaving it for a more bohemian one, I was a more formal woman 20 years.
I am very into an eclectic, boho and happy and relaxed deco.

Wow, the wall treatment in that first photo is STUNNING!

I recognized a bunch of those images-I've torn and stored some of the same ones. Someday...

The bohemian style is my ultimate decorative expression. It is like a wonderful, colorful piece of art....and I love mixing and matching colors and patterns. It really is a a great design, and like you said, you can achieve the look for very little...sort of shabby chic with a bit of cultural flair in my opinion. This is how I am doing our tiny apt. now. Anyhow, this was a fabulous post and filled with bohemian inspiration!!!!!!! Thank You!
