Sunday in the City.

Well, I finally made it out of the house for a little bit of an Independence Day! Some freedom from laying around, resting my brain into absolute atrophy! It felt good, and I was happy to be out with my camera in hand. I'm still recuperating, but it felt great to get out in my favorite city. Here's a little bit of what brightened my weekend.

Cupcake Club.

Rite Brain.

Mario Times Two.

Candy Shoppe.

Red, White & Blue.

Popcorn.

I like to play detective and guess what neighborhoods you've visited. In this one I see North Beach and maybe some China Town (Pop pop).
Glad you're feeling better!

I love your pics. They make me totally homesick. I am a native northern californian, currently stuck in Arizona. I lived in SF for 10 years in the St. Vincent district, off of 19th and Ulloa/Vicente. Looking through your blog, I just can't wait to get back home. Your photography is awesome.

Creatively,
Kimberly

What/where is the candy shop pictured? I want to go there!

Thanks all - it's good to be back and feeling better! :)

The candy shop is new and it's on Chestnut Street near Steiner. That door is to some other shop, though, just so you know. Part of my photoshop diptych madness! ;)

I really like the "Rite Brain" diptych. It manages to be resonant on a number of levels without becoming over-complicated.
