Just So Juto!

I love the infinite variety and range of beautiful pieces of artwork Sandra Juto creates...from her charming softies, to her illustrations, photography and now these amazing Wrist Worms (aka wrist warmers). Maybe because I'm bloody freezing right now (note to landlord: will you please turn on the heat, already?), but I simply have to own a pair of these just so I can type and not be so darn cold while I'm doing it. I'm telling you, my fingers are like ice!

Anyhow, I digress, the talented Miss Juto has a lovely selection of Wrist Worms amongst some other the other fine fun in her shop...take a look, and let's start the year looking fashionable and staying warm whilst we decorate away the days!

My husband and I both have pairs of Sandra's worms, and they are wonderful. I'm sad that it's a bit too cold in NY for them right now!

isn't she so talented!? i love these!

and ANNA at D16 - you go girl! there's some very negative commentors on AT, and I feel so bad about it. we all try hard, including AT, to put out fun blogs, and some people just have a bad attitude. i'm sorry for the grief you got - been there, too!

Her work and her photographic skills are amazing! Her blog is very interesting also.

I have had her listed [along with you!] as a link on my favorite blog list for some time. I hope your lousy landlord gives you some heat soon!!!

Well now you've hit me where it hurts. I love the warmers with the "buttons". I think I must have them! I am a basic knitter and thought I might try to make some of my own but now how will I get these beauties out of my mind?! I think I may have to get myself a Happy New Year gift. (Try as I might to justify.)

I just moved from New York to the Bay Area two months ago, and I have never been so cold indoors during the winter! The days outside are amazing, but indoors is a different story.

Nobody warned me that these beautiful old houses are such inefficient heat-retainers that no one even turns on their heat, just buys space-heaters!

I used to prance around in shorts and leg warmers in my gloriously overheated New York apartment, but now I sit huddled by the space heater in full winter gear.

One thing made our holiday chill a little cheerier. We copied your idea for the gold-sprayed Christmas lights, ignoring ozone worries, and strung them up around our living room mirror to glorious effect.

A friend of mine is the GM of one of the Bay Area's top eateries, and she took the idea to work, garlanding the whole restaurant in a warm gold glow.

I've been following your blog since before I moved out West, as sort of a touchstone for my soon-to-be new location, but this is the first time I've commented.

I just wanted to thank you for your generosity in sharing local information and design ideas, and for celebrating others' work.

Hi A - I'm so glad you like my blog. It's so much fun to do, so if someone gets some kind of inspiration out of it, it makes it all the more rewarding. I really appreciate you taking the time to comment, and for your encouraging words. I'm glad you had fun with spray painted lights (and spread the word!). Thanks!

Yes, it is FREEZING here is San Francisco! I have my crappy wall heater on and the space heater is working hard in the kitchen.

I used to live in a flat where the landlord controlled the heat...really, it does suck so much!

Good luck...and, oh, yeah, those wrist worms are too cute!

Oops, I mean "here IN San Francisco..." I guess it is too cold to check grammar and such!
