Poladroid Saves The World!
I think many of us are sincerely mourning the demise of the classic, beloved Polaroid. Oh yes, the soft focus, the blur, the nostalgic look of days gone by. Oh why, oh why did they give up on us lovers of the Polaroid? Well there's some relief boys and girls! Poladroid is a new software that will transport your regular old digital pics into vintage beauty.
Simply download the software and away we go, off to yesteryear! It even makes that cool Polaroid sound, and takes that special few moments of anticipation for your image to appear! I made a few just to try it out, and it was super easy and really fun. There's also a few flickr groups already dedicated to Poladriod....I know it's not quite the same as the original fun and instant gratification of taking a Polaroid....but pretty cool, right?

awsome.
Sooo cool! thanks for the info!!
perfect for quick & easy polaroids. sometimes working through the photoshop actions are too much.
I don't know where I've been or if you've heard about this, but I totally just found this today: http://tinyurl.com/8dbm6k
It's Fuji's new instant film camera!
What a wonderful thing. Thanks for sharing Victoria.
I like your blog! Inspiering!
Awesome! Also, an extra hooray for Target which still has Polaroid film. I stalked up on a few packs last time I was there!
oh, yes! how i do love poladroid! and, i love how "shaking" the droid actually affects the final results.
I'm ridiculously obsessed with Poladroid! It couldn't be more fun!
I'm hooked. But, I'm an idiot! I can't figure out how to save the darn things . . .
I had trouble with that too, until i figured it out. maybe this will help: you download the software, open it up and drag it to your applications folder. when you double click on it and little polaroid camera pops up on your desk top and you drag your images on top of the camera! and bam....it makes that cool polaroid noise and spits out a picture and they process it right before your eyes. then, they automatically file in your Pictures folder in your Finder and you just drag them to your desktop to upload. see - easy-peasy! ;)
Have any of you checked out Taschen's book simply called Polaroid? It's got over 250 polaroids from the late 50s on. I never knew they were regarded as an art form.
What a great idea. I'm off to check it out.
