Oh, and happy, happy Friday.
Did you know the Lomography website calls the Diana camera the 'ancient goddess of the moon'? I can see that! I hope you all get your cameras out this weekend and make some magic! Camera are magic, don't you think?
In fact, I have an idea...how about I turn the tables on you guys, and let you share a little bit of your Sunday in the City. Send me a jpeg file (no more than 600 pixels wide) of photos around your town, and I'll post a selection of your photos on the blog next week? Sound fun? Get snapping!

i found your blog and love your idea :)
Oooh I am so interested in "Lomography" and have really been contemplating getting a Diana camera!
In the meantime I'll have to settle with my plain, old, digital, cheap, Pentax. Off to take some pictures!
is that camera good? i mean, as in taking good shots and such? i have my eye on it for a while but don't know if it is worth the money to invest in it.
susan - it's good if you like imperfections. the diana gives you a kind of dreamy image. if you take a look at the link of the lomo site, you'll see some examples of the images that come out of a diana camera.
I got a Diana for Christmas, and have yet to develop any film from it. But I've seen other people's photos, and I'm in love.
However, I actually prefer using my Holga 35mm, since the film is cheaper to buy and develop, and yield just as interesting, quirky, artistic photos as a Diana. I have those photos posted on my flickr. If you're interested, my username is toshisushi.
oh, what a great idea!! it will be just the excuse i need to try out my new polaroid. count me in.
Such a lovely idea!
Have a wonderful weekend!
xoxo
I made the headline of my blog and profile, Reserved, with a Lomo LC-A. And I love the result.
Love this idea....
Not sure how I found my way to your blog, through convoluted paths.... I could easily spend the whole evening looking at your photos and links and dreaming/designing/thinking. Nice to find a blogger from the Bay Area...
Maybe I'll return on Sunday with a photo to share.
Eeep! This sounds fantastic. =)
I LOVE my diana+ camera very, very much!!
The lomography people opened a flagship store in NYC a couple of weeks ago!
Where should we send our Sunday in the City photos? email them to you or post them here?
I am really enjoying your blog!

Love the idea, I'll send a pic in. I use a canon digital camera, but I got an old lomo lens modified to fit it. Works really well.

sounds like a great idea, I always love your sunday in the city pics.
it'll be great to see other people's cities and favorite places.
I'll be exploring San Fran myself in a couple of months, can't wait to get the camera out!
in greek mythology, diana is the goddess of the moon and the hunt.
