Sunday in the City.

As per my usual first Sunday of the month ritual, I headed out to the Alameda Flea Market this weekend. Along with like a billion other vintage aficionados! I'd never, ever in all my years of going there have seen it this crowded! Lines out to the parking lot, just to get in! Nevertheless, it was a bright and sunny day, and perhaps the reason for the crowd, since the last two flea markets had been rained out. Thanks to all the sfgirlbybay readers who stopped by and said hello to Sylvie for your free gift - she was bustling while I visited, and it was nice to meet a few of you while I was there! I seemed to be focusing mostly on fashion finds this flea market, and here's a bit of what I saw, and snapped.

Haute Couture.

Sunday Best.

French Lingerie.

Dress Form.

Red Letter Day.

A League of Her Own.

Pomp & Circumstance.

I can't wait until the weather breaks and flea markets open up around here. Indoor flea markets just don't do it for me.

I used to live in SF and will be back in mid-May. Hopefully I'll get to the flea market that Sunday morning and might even find a deal!

Love the photos you post of your jaunts there.

It was crazy out there, wasn't it? In the 10 years or so that it's existed, I've NEVER seen lines of people like that! What recession?

The pink petticoat put me over the edge to go back and lust after the mauve shoes. So gorgeous. Thank you for taking pictures to let us all get a little taste. : )

Hey sfgirlbythebay, my friend just told me about your blog featuring the flea market and I realized that you were behind me in that long long line a couple weekends ago (you mentioned your blog post and 7x7 mention of the flea market). Adorable blog and wonderful market finds.
