Take A Caravan Trip.

While in London we visited a store I've been dying to get to for ages. Emily Chalmer's Caravan is just as lovely as I had imagined it to be. We went way out of our way just to drop in, and I'm so glad we did! In fact, we had to hunt the shop down because Caravan has recently moved to a charming new location, and are no longer inside Spitalfield's Market, and instead are located in a cute little alley nearby. Emily Chalmers is a freelance stylist, self-confessed flea market addict (oh, why does that sound familiar?) and the author of Flea Market Style, one my favorite home design books, as well as Contemporary Country and Table Inspirations, two other very lovely books. Oh, how I love this girl's style!

The Caravan shop is full of fab British flair, and I did a fair amount of damage here, including buying one of those cute little Caravans. Everyone needs a miniature Caravan, right? If I can't have a life-size one, I might as well have a wee one! If you're not hopping across the pond to London anytime soon, you can always shop online, or just enjoy these pretty pictures and save them in your memory banks for your next trip!

The shop looks gorgeI was in London in December but I only went to Portobello Road, I didn't had time to make any antique shop search.

what a huge selection of fun; yes, everyone needs a small caravan if they cannot afford a life sized on; I earnestly wish to find one, refinish it and have for fun summertime evenings and whimsical sleepovers as the babies grow older.

thanks for sharing; truly good.

OH!!!

I can't believe I spy gold ceramic pigeon banks in the last photo-- I was looking everywhere for one, a couple years back, and eventually asked my Dutch friend if she could get one for me at the manufacturer's shop in Holland, Pols Potten. Fast-forward to Xmas, when I unwrapped the parcel she dutifully sent me, and found... a gold ceramic woodpecker bank!

I have got to get a job so I can grab one of the pigeons. Do you know if she ships internationally?

hi victoria, it's so nice to see London through your eyes - easy to take it all for granted when you live here.
