Happy Freakin' Valentine's Day.

Oh! Oh look! Oh boy! It's my favorite day of the year! Yeah, thank you Hallmark! Yeah! And in honor of my favorite day of the year, I thought I'd list some of my favorite 'Chick Flicks'. Because yes, alas it's true, I still do not have a Valentine. So, if you're in the same boat, curl up with some popcorn, a jug of wine (okay, maybe not a jug), your dog or cat, or maybe some good friends and settle in for a good old Chick Flick. Here's some of my favorites:

Say Anything - I love the boom box part and the dinner scene with John Cusack explaining what he wants to do with his future.

Breakfast at Tiffany's - My all time favorite, and some great styling tips.

An Affair to Remember - A really good oldie if you haven't seen it. There's a lot of references to this film in Sleepless in Seattle.

About A Boy. I admit, I love Hugh Grant. And this is a really sweet story. A good book, too.

Enchanted April. This movie always makes we want to run off to Italy.

Pretty in Pink. A cult classic.

Thelma & Louise. The ultimate chick flick.

Love Actually. This one is quite a tear jerker, but really good. Again, Hugh.

Four Weddings and a Funeral. Again, I love Hugh. Andie MacDowell, not so much. But I get past her.

Bridget Jones' Diary. This is just too scarily similar to my life.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind Not as much of a chick flick, but it gives you something to think about.

Excellent film choices! I would have put Valley Girl in there, too. =)

And I feel the same way about Andie McDowell...ick.

Valentine's Day is much like New Year's Eve...there are always such high expectations and no way of ever having that much fun! Chick flick, some glutonous food and comfy pjs - it's the perfect way to spend the day!

I hear ya Victoria - yesterday I watched the guy chick flick, High Fidelity. Then I had a bottle of wine with my fake Valentine, Richard my hair colorist... :), oh, and my cat was there too.

OK, it's the day after Vwlntine's Day... but I wanted to add my fave chick flick - Truly, Madly, Deeply with Alan Rickman. He's dead but his ghost comes back to comfort his lover. Guys find this creepy but it's actually very romantic.
