Modern Economy. Save The Date.

Modern Economy is a wonderfully creative home & lifestyle sample sale event held just a few times a year. You'll find your favorite modern, independent designers' samples, overstock, and post-season wares at prices up to 70% off retail, all of it to support indie design and help them clear their shelves/stockrooms. Affordable, modern design all in one place! This year it's held Saturday, July 28 at the Fort Mason Center, one of my favorite places in the City, where I always feel a real sense of community. There is no entrance fee to the sale, and Fort Mason has a huge parking lot.

Some of the designers participating in the Modern Economy sale are Rae Dunn Ceramics, Relish at Home, Sara Paloma Pottery, Tikoli Dish Towels, and Mateo Ilasco Pillows, as well as a ton of other great designers.

Wow, that looks like it might be worth the drive from L.A. - looks like there will be plenty of cool stuff to be had. May have to come up with an excuse to head north that weekend.
