French Twist.

J'adore this new sewing book (about now you're saying, "wow, girl, again with the sewing?") I found recently, Simple Sewing With a French Twist. It's a really very imaginative and easy to follow sewing guide, full of beautiful patterns from Celine Dupuy, a regular contributor to Marie Claire magazine. With pages of really gorgeous photographs and simple line drawings to guide you, it's some very inspiring eye candy, indeed.

Here's a glimpse inside the pages of the many pretty, pretty pictures. I'm still trying to figure out where I might fit this hammock in my apartment (perhaps, over the tub? is that weird?).

I flipped through that book a week or so ago at the Borders in Union Square - I came uber close to buying it too.

I own this book and want to make all the projects in it. (I don't know how to sew.) But it even provides directions for beginners like me, and all the directions are illustrated in what appears to be a simplified way.

I swoon! Must. Learn. To. Sew. When I get a machine, I'm getting this book. Maybe I'll just get the book and pretend I have a machine.

Love your site and the daily inspiration it provides.

Yup, I got this book last winter and I love it! I already know mostly how to sew, but the illustrations make learning sooo easy, and her ideas for little projects are great.
