It's a Mod, Mod, Mod, Mod World.
I'm almost afraid to let y'all know I grew up watching Goldie Hawn shake her tattooed bod on TV's Laugh-In. Oh, how I loved that show! And, I owned a Twiggy doll that I completely worshiped and dressed and redressed to the nines. So today, I thought it might be fun to 'sock it to ya'...a little mad, mod love. 1960's British flair popping with bright colors and a free-wheeling, innocent spirit. I went mod hunting on etsy, and here's the swinging stuff I found.

I grew up watching soap operas(latin girl), shame on me.
But some of the actresses I remember where very stylish and later they became serious actresses, shame on me anyway!
I think I'm from the same era Victoria - but I grew up in the UK. My friends and I all had the Biba Cosmetics poster on our bedroom wall - the twiggy like girl with the enormous black false eyelashes....anyone else have that?

Funny, I was just thinking about the 60's and my favorite dress when I was five years old - I called it my "go-go" dress. I thought I was so mod!

hello from london..just wanted to boast really, that i once had lunch in a pub in london next to twiggy and her daughter...i watched them so much my own food went cold...oh and i work about 30 seconds away from where all the mod movement started..carnaby street..you would love it..

OMG! I had a Twiggy Doll too. I forgot all about it until you mentioned it. I was in grade school during the 60's. I also had a Mrs. Beasley and a Chrissy doll! Wow, memories! Stacey (in Morgan Hill, CA)
I grew up with Twiggy as a style icon. Did you catch her guest judging on America's Top Model? She was wonderful, so natural and down to earth. My favorite of all of them.
Models don't seem to grow like that these days!

Thanks for the great hit of nostalgia. I've been in a nostalgic mood lately, really liking the wardrobe and sets of Swingtown (tv show) and just rented Mad Men (ad men of the sixty's). I love those glass pears, too.
