Well, I finally made it out of the house for a little bit of an Independence Day! Some freedom
from laying around, resting my brain into absolute atrophy! It felt good, and I was happy to be out with my camera in hand. I'm still
recuperating, but it felt great to get out in my favorite city. Here's a little bit of what brightened my weekend.

Cupcake Club.

Rite Brain.

Mario Times Two.

Candy Shoppe.

Red, White & Blue.

Popcorn.
I like to play detective and guess what neighborhoods you've visited. In this one I see North Beach and maybe some China Town (Pop pop).
ReplyDeleteGlad you're feeling better!
Simple and beautiful, lately are my favorite words

ReplyDeleteI love your pics. They make me totally homesick. I am a native northern californian, currently stuck in Arizona. I lived in SF for 10 years in the St. Vincent district, off of 19th and Ulloa/Vicente. Looking through your blog, I just can't wait to get back home. Your photography is awesome.

ReplyDeleteThe candy shop is new and it's on Chestnut Street near Steiner. That door is to some other shop, though, just so you know. Part of my photoshop diptych madness! ;)
I really like the "Rite Brain" diptych. It manages to be resonant on a number of levels without becoming over-complicated.
ReplyDeletenice pics.
ReplyDeleteanyway, leftside of the last pic is the firecrackers which its shape looks like the garlic, not popcprn.
