Your Very Best Side.
My mum sent this silhouette of me (above, left) that was done when I was ten years old, so I scanned it (it was a little worse for wear) and am going print it and have it framed. It got me wondering what other interesting silhouette artwork was out there. I also remembered seeing these great silhouette pieces (above, right and just below) at The Candy Store on my last visit there.

I just love these silhouettes. I need to have one made of my children before they get too much older...
Great idea with the silhouettes. About 10 years ago I bought a French hutch with a pair frosted white silhouette lovers kissing on the glass doors...needless to say, it sold very quickly! Love the stark simplicity of them.
You should check out the silhouette artwork I have for sale at my etsy shop at www.mina180.etsy.com. I love this artform. It's very unique and beautiful.

Great post - I love silhouettes!
I love silhouettes. I had some done of all the grandchildren for my mother-in-law as a Christmas gift. She loved them! I used Karl Johnson who cuts all of his silhouettes by hand. It was quite impressive.
I've long been a fan of silhouettes...the contrast is so beautiful. Thank you for sharing these new styles...I especially love the little cups.
I am nuts about silhouettes! I don't know what it is and I know it's all trendy and whatnot...but I'm still hearting them! Yeah...so there! (Glad there's some lovin' support out there, V. I can always count on you!)
What a great idea! Seeing as my dog's name is Lucy, and you have a Lucy posted...it must be a sign!
I don't know how to add links etc but you have to check out the beautiful silhouette work the Lynette Andreason does. www.lynetteandreasen.blogspot.com/search/label/silhouettes
