Shiny Goodness.

I printed a new Metallic Silver (Pantone 877U, for all you graphic design aficionados) Keep Calm & Carry On Poster on white, high quality, recycled matte finished paper. So it's got this lovely sheen to it, but is very sleek and tasteful. I have to say, it's my favorite color to date and is neutral enough to go with many decors. Metallic inks are a bit tricky to photograph, but it's a very soft, silver metallic and the photos represent the shade pretty well. As always, it's available in my sfgirlbybay etsy shop.

I love the soft sheen of this color, I've always been partial to grey and silver.

I noticed the red version of this print on Lipstick Jungle on Friday... Wendy had it up in her home office. Did you know about that? I thought it was awesome!

i've been dying to try silkscreening and have done a little experimenting. how do you get your prints looking so clean and crisp? care to share any trade secrets? i'd love a post about your printing process from start to finish.

btw - this post has been the silver lining for a gray sf day.

thank you everyone - i'm glad you like it! and i did hear about it appearing on Lipstick Jungle...thanks!

lulu - i think it's a few things - we started with good screens, the paper being very high quality (i used to be a print producer, so my background is in printing), and my friend is an expert who loans out his presses to me and helps me with getting the ink coverage just right.
