Light Headed.

I've taken a few days of from work to catch up on some home projects (yes more,
and I think the pink wall is coming!!). So I apologize for the light posts. I'll be
posting more later this afternoon and over the weekend. It's Friday y'all!!

speaking of white on white, may i ask for your opinion? i'm considering painting my bedroom, which is currently a lovely light/medium purple color. i'd love an ivory/cream wall color, but do not wish to repaint the trim as it's the same color as the door, the window (i live in an edwardian and my bedroom window is original, not vinyl), and the ceiling. is cream with white trim okay or should i just aim to get the same almost antique white as the trim to make the whole thing white?

hi julie - i think the contrast of the cream/ivory walls with white trim looks really pretty. all white wouldn't show off your trim as much.

alex - this is a screen grab from my flickr favorites. if you email me I can send you more detailed instructions. :)

I love your blog! So weird you posted about bentwood Thonet chairs as I just bought 2 for $20 at a thrift store in a lighter wood with perfect cane seats! Maybe I will paint them black like in your photo. I had been searching for awhile but I was thrilled to find a pair gently worn and for a good bargain. I wanted them for my kitchen breakfast spot and was going for a "boho parisian" look and that's what I got. The curvy lines are perfect against all of the linear lines of the kitchen cabinetry. I even painted out a small wall with blackboard paint which is so fun to write and draw on and somehow it all works. So happy when I look at them and they are really lightweight and comfy to sit in! I love yours and I adore those beautiful european looking wrought iron bar stools you have as well. You have such amazing chairs! Thanks for the inspiration and fabulous ideas daily!

Have you chosen the pink for your wall? What brand/name?

thanks so much shelley!

jennifer - the paint is a long story, and i will share the photos with you this week. suffice it to say, i had a color mixed, it looked like Pepto-Bismol, so I added my own acrylic paints to mix it until i was happy! it's a bright coral pink. crazy!

oops, forgot to add that i can't wait to see the coral pink in your home and also to see what you did with the dining room table and which chairs are with it as you re-arrange it often, which i love!
