Madcat Women's International Film Festival - Ongoing through September 26. MadCat exhibits provocative, creative works directed or co-directed by women. At El Rio, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts and Artists' Television Access.






Dwell on Design - September 14-16. The Dwell on Design Conference + Exhibition, for anyone who is passionate about modern design, sustainability and smart growth. San Francisco Concourse and Exhibition Center, 8th and Brannan.







SFMOMA Martin Munkacsi: Think While You Shoot - through September 16. Hungarian-born Martin Munkacsi, a retrospective exhibition of more than 125 vintage photographs, magazines and layouts from the 1920s through the 1940s. It's a great exhibit and in its last weekend at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, 151 Third St.








Mill Valley Fall Arts Festival September 15 & 16. Artists and crafters show their work among the redwoods, at the foot of Mount Tamalpais in Old Mill Park, 375 Throckmorton Ave., Mill Valley.
