Serving Up Some Studio Mela.
I stumbled upon Studio Mela this week while looking around etsy for some new art to share. I like artist Shelli Dorfe's bright colorful limited edition prints - they seem to have a sweet soul about them. I'd love to see her I Love Your Spoons, Spatula and Egg Beater prints (below) brightening up some bland kitchen walls. You can find out more about Studio Mela (which means apple in Italian) on Shelli's blog, or her flickr site.

I enjoy your blog so much! You have such an incredible amount of information! I was just wondering if you could tell me about any shops that you especially like in your area? We used to live there and I remember "Nest" and some others, but I love to look at websites for shops on the internet and wondered if you could recommend any unusual shops that have websites? Do you know of any in Washington state?
Thanks!
Debbie
Thanks Debbie! There are sooo many great SF shops, but if you take a look at this guest post I did on design*sponge, it lists a lot of my favorites:

Or, scroll down my site to the list "If You're Going to San Francisco". Unfortunately, I don't know Washington state too well, other than Seattle. Apartment Therapy covers Seattle, though and they probably have some suggestions for you.
oh i love that last print!
i love the eggbeaters - they're absolutely awesome!
Thanks for finding these - I'm buying (just haven't yet decided how many).
Great shops in Seattle include Maison Luxe, Velocity Art & Design, Red Ticking, Chartreuse, Lucca, Inform and Tottini for kids.
