Amy Inspired.

I love Amy Butler, and have been itching to get in some Spring sewing these days - a match made in heaven! I am a huge fan of Amy's fabrics and patterns, and am always inspired when I see the multitude of ways her fans pair her prints and patterns. I checked around flickr to see what Amy inspired works of art might be out there, and got an eyeful! From groovy little aprons, to pretty pillows and her famous gum drop pillow, there was an abundance of beautiful projects created from Amy's fabrics and fabulous patterns.

From nancygamon; and philigry.

Amy's latest book, Midwest Modern, is full of gorgeous inspiration as well, and her new fabric line is full of amazing new color palettes dubbed names like Ohio Sky and Orange and Pink Dahlias, all inspired by her Ohio garden, and all in bold, fun and funky prints. Take a look at these great projects I found on flickr, all made with Amy's fab fabrics and fun patterns.

From polishedtwo; and XtineZ.

From MinxyMagic; and moline.

From my2pixies; and laurensh.

What a timely post! I just this weekend was inspired to look through Amy's newest fabrics as I think one of hers would be absolutely perfect for my "Cube Over" that I'm undertaking.

I can't wait for the finish product, reminds me, I need to take a before pic here soon and order up some fabric. I'm leaning toward either Pink Dahlia - Linen from the new line or pretty much anything from the Lotus line to put on the cube walls.

Ok, need to break out the sewing machine too!

Is it me, or have we all gone Amy Crazy? Love her fabrics, and her great ideas - just finished one of her In Stitches placemats as my first project. That pin cushion is great - I'm going to try it. Thanks for putting together this fun post.

I love Amy Butler fabrics, patterns, and her books. I love her fabrics so much that it's hard for me to use them -- always a toss up as to whether to use them or just continue to look at then in a gorgeous stack on my shelf!

Amy Butler also has free patterns on her website in Adobe Acrobat format. I downloaded the one for a Yoga Mat Bag and as yet have not attempted it!

I have never sewn anything in my life, and seeing this talented woman's fabric makes me want to learn!!! I just purchased a vintage bed frame, that I'm eager to assemble, but have been having such a problem finding bedding for...after seeing this, I now have an idea as to what I would like.

Thank you :)
