I've begun a new regular post, and this is the very first installment. Each week I will post a collection of flickr favorites, as curated by one of the many excellent flickr photographers of their own personal flickr favorites. I've asked for a quote from them on why they think they've chosen these selections of favorites at any given point in their lives. I've noticed when I look back at my own flickr favorites, there seems to be a bit of a rhythm to them, a mood of sorts, and I am hoping to capture that here.
This week's guest curator is Lori Andrews, aka The 10 Cent Designer, via Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and I couldn't be more excited to share her faves with you. Lori is has an amazing eye and is one my all time favorite flickrettes! She's also written an amazing flash poem to accompany her collection of flickr faves. Take a look at this inspiring set. Thank you, Lori - this is simply stunning.
It was as though they all understood, this would be the last summer.
The last carefree days, the last of the open air cafe. Everyone of them,
all over the world they just knew. So they breathed it in and they
ran down country roads, they ran to the oceans and to the
fields and the festivals. They threw caution to the wind and
they loved you with a fierceness unfettered.
Fall is on the way.
