Dinner at Five?

I saw this fabulous dining room on abchao's flickr photostream and just about flipped. I love so much about it I'm having trouble calming my enthusiasm...from the sleek chairs softened with Ikea sheepskin throws, to that amazing mid-century modern credenza! But then all those stunning, fresh white plates against the pale gray paneling - oh dear! All of it...quite divine! When the heck is dinner? I'm so there...and I'll bring humble pie!

I can see what you're saying but basically these rooms look cold.

I *LOVE* this dining room! The use of light is amazing and I think it looks warm & inviting. I can totally picture sitting around that table with friends having coffee, chatting, and laughing. I want this room in my house. Thx for posting the photo.

I kinda get what "pup" is saying. I'd probably put up a lil' somthing more on the walls opposite the door but all in all...DELICIOUS! Such a soothing palette. But love the punch of black! I'd feel kinda sexy in this room.

pup - i don't feel that...but let's get you a sweater. :)

with all the inviting guests, i'll bet this room warms up nicely! i just think it's beautiful in it's simplicity!

and beefy - i'll bet you're sexy in any room! ;)

the dining room is very aesthetically pleasing, however, i am horrified by the possible use of animal products {or are these faux? if so, i apologize}.

in my humble opinion nothing is ever beautiful enough to condone cruelty.

oh no worries - these are so faux! they're from ikea!

ooh love it! And it's so nice to see plates on the wall looking magazine-like in a real home for once. I don't think I've ever seen anyone pull it off as well as the styled shots, but she nailed it!
