Ode to My Deco: Collecting.

In keeping with the spirit of Erin's inspiring Time Out, SF! post below, I thought I'd make my fifth installment of my Ode to Domino's My Deco Files all about collecting. A lot of us like to collect all kinds of things, but the key to making your collections look great, interesting and uncluttered, is keeping like-objects grouped together. Either by color, or item, books, teacups, artwork, seashells...you name it, if you like to collect it, try to group and your collections together. It creates an organized, eye-catching, and pleasing look without making your home appear to be a full of just 'stuff'. I found some great examples on Domino's My Deco Files...here are just some of them.

I love the idea of collecting and displaying cake forms on the kitchen wall. And you get to use them too.

the mantle with the shells is not domino, it's martha stewart!

linsey - yes, but people upload pix from all over to the domino deco files. they don't always list the source.

I love all these images of collections and such wonderful ways of displaying them.

I love collecting things too...

I have gotten my three year old into collecting as well, he collects fluff. As well as other stuff I collect apple flavoured lollies... I have 73 of them! (I never thought I would get that many).

Love your blog...

thanks

Katherine

This is a great roundup, Victoria. I find displaying collections kind of challenging and there are some good ideas here so thanks for a great post.
