blissful inspiration

I love that it is Thursday and I get to spend my morning here with all of you. My name is mrs. french and I feel so very honored to post here on sfgirlbybay...the excitement never wears off...

In my opinion, one of the loveliest things about photography is the different interpretation each photographer has of one particular subject. This is how I get lost for hours...it is amazing to me how basically the same subject can be seen in completely different ways...all depending on who is behind the camera....

Which is how I came up with today's post....I am all about pink peonies right now. I love the feathery texture paired with soft colors...almost boa like. I have been completely knocked out by the peony photography this time of year...I am dying to get a bunch of my own and see how they come out...

completely different, yet equally beautiful. Have a beautiful weekend, see you next thursday and please do stop by bliss...xo mrs. french

Are these all your photos? If so gorgeous, and if not great finds!
You are so on about the boa-ness of them!

ARGH! I want my peonies to bloom RIGHT NOW. My mom and my MIL have pink, but I planted two different kinds of white ones last fall. The buds are teasing me at the moment.

I think I might have to buy some pink ones when they go on sale at Bachman's later in the season. Like how I named dropped? That was meant for you, Mrs. French. ; )

So funny! I spent about an hour today wandering around and around the peony pots at the garden center today, trying to decide which to buy. Most hadn't bloomed yet, so I was going by the picture. And the name. Yeah, I chose "Bride's Dream," what can I say?

I came *this close* to buying myself some pink peonies yesterday at Trader Joe's! But I had already paid when I spotted them and was way too pragmatic about it. After seeing this post, I am going over first thing in the morning to correct my ways and get my pink peony on!

I just love peonies, in every shade of pink! There is a Peony Festival in Upstate NY this weekend (at Linwood Gardens) and I can't wait to go. They have giant tree peonies and they're gorgeous.

These are all beautiful! However, I think you should cite the photographers here. For instance, I see my good friend Elinor Scott-Sutter's polaroid at the bottomm (she is known on many sites as "equivoque.") Here is a link to the Flickr page for her photo: http://www.flickr.com/photos/equivoque/2284708005/

Thanks Nancy. If you've never seen Mrs. French's guest posts here, if you click on the three litte '***' it links back to the original photograph.

My favorite since I was very little. Only my grandmother wouldn't let me pick them . She said they brought in ants :)
