Summer Lovin'.

Okay, as much as I love living in San Francisco, I do not so much enjoy the June Gloom. It arrived early this year, and has been lingering in the city since Memorial Day weekend. The Northern California fog just creeps in under the Golden Gate, and covers the city in a soft gray mist. Don't get me wrong, it's pretty. Sometimes. But days and days of it get me a bit down, so today, here's some fresh, colorful spaces to inspire summer!

I could crawl right into that bed and happily stay there the rest of the day.

It has been gloomy for a while here in Southern California, too. I sorta prefer it to the relentless heat, which we're bound to get sooner or later. The June gloom just holds it off a bit!

Blarrrrrg, I totally hear you on the SF June Gloom front. It's been brutal this year and it's only the 3rd!

Thanks for the inspiration :)

Omg, this is a fantastic post! I hadn't heard about the June Gloom in SF, but I'm glad you took advantage of it and made this post to fight it!

Thank you for this bright and sunny post (yes, I'm a SF girl too!)! The bed with the yellow headboard is a dream haven!

I feel your pain up here a little farther on the coast in Eureka. I get so down when it's overcast and gloomy for days on end! Working in my container garden makes me happy every time--even if I do have to wear a sweatshirt in June!

Clipboards on the wall? Wow, brilliant! I am going to try that.

I love the blue of that ceiling in the first photo. I could wake up to that every day! Thanks for an inspiring post.

I'm right next to you in Marin and we are getting the June gloom too. I love the sunny colors in the pictures! Did I say adore, cherish and LOVE? I know, in a month when we get the hot, hot temps hit record highs, I will be wishing for the June gloom once again. Maybe you could post some pix of the fog rolling in then?

Thanks for these colorful inspirations!

Love, love, love these photos! I'm in NY, and it's gloomy here today, too. Thanks for brightening my afternoon!

Yes yes, I hear you about our recent weather! Today I just can't quite seem to wake up completely---and I'm convinced because it's the weird haze that's been hanging everywhere.

But these images are the perfect antidote! That yellow headboard is especially smashing...
