Day Trippers.

If you're feeling like a road trip up to St. Helena, in beautiful wine country, this weekend I have the perfect excuse for you. Martin is holding their very own version of a flea market. This Friday and Saturday, you can find clearance sale prices on high-end interior designers like Sarlo Wick, House of Mann, and Erin Martin.

Erin Martin has just been in business eight years, but is already the top interior designer in Napa Valley. A former sculptor, she's now opened a furniture store and showroom in St. Helena. The showroom leans toward unusual, rustic pieces, but at pretty high end prices, so for me, the sale is a reason to make the trip. Drive up, visit some of the local wineries, and then stop by Martin and see what bargains are to be had. It's just a good excuse to head to wine country.

Some of my favorite wineries include Silver Oak, Merryvale and one of my favorite stops, Prager Port. Prager is one of those tiny, unknown spots, with really friendly proprietors and the port is yummy. It's also always fun to stop at the old Oakville Grocer for the most gourmet picnic supplies you'll ever find and just make a day of it!

Oooh, love that dog painting in the second picture. Do you know who the artist is?

And yes, there's nothing quite like the Oakville Grocer. My dream is to be locked in there overnight!
